CAN MAKE UP FOR ANY LACK OF SELF-ACCEPTANCE
NO AMOUNT OF SELF-IMPROVEMENT
We feel that there is an urgent need to combat the prevalent issue in society of body image, especially amongst male adolescents. We believe that there is a large gap in the market in Thailand, where these issues aren’t regularly brought up amongst the male community in fear of being seen as ‘weak’ or ‘vulnerable’. In a region that often encourages hypermasculinity, these topics are deemed ‘embarrassing’ or even a ‘taboo’.
We want to show young males in society that this issue is perfectly normal and that many others also share the same dilemma. I feel that demonstrating our own weaknesses can help others to feel more encouraged to speak out and slowly feel more comfortable with their selves, unapologetically and with pride.
We have two aspects, the fitness and mental aspect. The fitness aspect will enable our clients to go through a program that deals with their body-image issues according to their needs. Their appearance may improve in the process, which can without a doubt improve their confidence.
In terms of feedback loops, as humans we are social creatures and at times need validation. Positive reinforcement and feedback from others after improving your overall image will definitely boost positive self talk within.
Although our clients may look better, they also need a program to help them psychologically, helping them break through barriers of insecurity.
We believe that a mixture of these 2 approaches will allow us to support our clients in the most effective manner.
THE ISSUE AT HAND
As an organization, we aim to raise awareness about this prevalent issue. Secondly, and more importantly the key word for us is ‘impact’. We want to see our members achieve ‘results’ regardless of how big or small.
We aim to be the voices for young male in society, who are afraid to speak out, building a culture of young men who aren’t afraid to show their vulnerability. We want to ensure that our members set realistic goals and ‘stick’ to them.
The motto is that we are not trying to to spread the message that our members are not deemed good enough. We simply don't believe in encouraging an unhealthy lifestyle e.g. severely overweight/underweight. We simply want them to be healthier, which simultaneously improves their appearance as well.
We aim to be the foundation and breeding ground for these young men to improve their confidence and change their lives
